Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am glad to announce that I will be the new 8th grade Physical Education
Teacher! This is my first year teaching, so I am enthusiastic to have the
opportunity to teach, mentor and coach your son or daughter this year!
Just a little about myself; I graduated from Arizona State University, with
my degree in Physical Education. My wife Jodi and I live together with our
dog Levi in Laveen. When I am not teaching, I love to lift weights, box, play
soccer, basketball and chess. I am an avid coach and am specialized in all
aspects of exercise and wellness. My goal is to help all the kids live a life
of personal wellness through exercise and wellness. I will not place an
emphasis on winning or on competitive nature but on finding ways to develop
the aspects that are required for the students to be successful and content
in Physical Education. I would also want all the kids to enjoy physical
activities, including exercise, sports, games, dance and outdoor adventure
activities. It can formal or informal. It might include a mother teaching
her son or daughter how to play golf or a player receiving information from a
coach of the youth soccer team. Physical Education is the passing of
information, attitudes and skills from one to next.
“Everyone regardless of their position or their job or their college degree
or professional licensure, is a teacher in some form or another. You can’t be
a teacher to everyone, but there is always someone you can reach with your
life. Example is the best teacher. It’s the key. And it’s something we all
can do”. John Wooden
