My name is Kathleen Barajas and this is my sixth year teaching first grade
at Paradise Education Center. Before coming to PEC, I taught in California
and have experience in elementary music, science, reading intervention, first
grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, and conversational English for adult English
Language Learners. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton
with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and then attended graduate school
there as well in Education. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time
with my family. My husband and I have a daughter who is in eighth grade
here at PEC. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you and
your children! I look forward to another great year!
My mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment where
students are challenged at their individual levels, where they can explore
their world around them, and where they feel comfortable taking risks, making
choices, solving problems, and working together.
