Does my child have homework to complete in kindergarten?
Yes, they do. Each Friday, along with the newsletter you will find a "Tic Tac Toe Homework". You and your child can choose any three boxes that go across, down or diagonal. This is a great way for you to get involved in your child's formal education. Your child will also love the chance to review all that they have learned that week with you, their first teacher.Behind the homework page you will find a nightly "Reading Log". Please read for 10 minutes a night with your child. This activity enriches their vocabulary and strenghtens their future reading success. Please return the homework on the following Thursday. Do I need to put my child's name on everything that goes to school?
In our classroom, we share all of our supplies, so they do not need names printed on them. Backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, snacks and articles of clothing need to be labeled because they are often misplaced during our busy days. If the first and last names are printed on these items, they have a better chance of being returned to the student.Back to Top
