Hi, I'm Ms. Monico! This is my fifth year teaching at PEC and I love it.
I taught for a few years in the Seattle, Washington area before raising a
family. After some family changes, my daughter and I moved to Arizona for a
fresh start. When Ally started kindergarten, I decided to return to the
classroom too. I really did miss teaching.
We have come to love the Arizona weather and our cool swimming pool. We do
not miss Seattle's wet and cool climate. Here in Arizona we have the
opportunity to enjoy so many more outdoor activities such as long walks,
riding horses and hiking on cooler days. Our favorite way to beat the heat
on warmer days is to ride the Lazy River at The Pointe Hilton at Squaw Peak.
It is the best getaway in town. We also like staying indoors sometimes to
play games, read a good book, watch a movie or dine out with friends. Ally
and I tend to spend most of our weekends here in Surprise. You might see us
atound town while shopping at Kohl's or sipping on coffee at Starbucks. Stop
by and say "hello".
My mission in teaching is to give your child all the support and
encouragement they need to foster a life long love of learning. It is all
possible with your help. Together, we will make it a great year.
