My name is Nick Pitera and I teach 5th grade reading
at Paradise Education Center. A little bit about myself... I have been living
in Arizona for over 20 years and I love this State. I moved from Kentucky
over 20 years ago and I have made the adjustment from wet,hot and miserable
to just hot. I am fortunate to have parents who have been
married for over forty years, as well as a brother and sister all living
within a mile of eachother. I am an uncle of two and I consider myself very
fortunate to have such a close family. I love sports and I am particularly
fanatical about Kentucky Basketball and professional soccer. I became a
teacher because I am excellent with children of all ages and I feel like I
have a calling to help students become productive successful members of our
community.
I am committed to providing excellence in education and guiding children to
gain confidence in a safe enviornment that enables students to be successful,
caring, and knowledgeable members of the community(PECMS Teacher Handbook
2010-2011).
