Our final theme this year is Arizona: Past and Present. What can we learn from Arizona's past to help us in our world today?

We continue to work on our scrapbooks to prepare for our culminating event!
Reading: We will be reading in our Arizona book how the Territory of Arizona is moving toward
statehood.
Writing: Students will begin writing a letter to President Taft, convincing him to consider reasons why Arizona deserves to be a state.
Math: Continue to review and extend learning about decimals to the hundredths place value, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals! We also continue to review all 4th grade society.
Spelling: Core words are alone, bottom, check, reading, and fall.
Social Studies: Students continue reading in Arizona book and learning Arizona history.
