Dear Second Grade Families,
My name is Deanna Haight and I will be your child’s teacher for
the 2011-2012 school year. This will be a year filled with learning,
exploring and growing as a lifelong learner.
We know that children learn best by using their senses, by doing,
and through the use of concrete materials. Using this knowledge, our
curriculum allows for the many individual differences and growth
patterns of each child,knowing that each child will gain something different
from these experiences.
Throughout the year the second grade teachers will be working together as
a team to best meet the needs or your child.
I am a strong believer in frequent communication and an open door
policy. To keep you informed of classroom activities; I have a teacher web

I am proud to be a part of the P.E.C. family whose mission is to provide
