This quarter's theme is EARTH PATROL. The Essential Question that we will be answering with all of our lessons is "How do we interact with our world to protect our future?" We will be focusing on the Earth and it's processes, positive/negative effects of human interaction with the environment, and how to make our world a cleaner place through the use of recycling, reducing, and reusing items.
Class pictures are on Friday, Feb. 10, and they are NON-UNIFORM. If your child wants to purchase a class picture, please have payment ready on Friday. All students will have individual pictures taken. You will be given the proofs to view, and if you want to purchase them, you can return payment. If you do not want to buy them, you will return the pictures to school. Payment and order forms were sent home last week in the Homework Folder.
A green "PEC Parent Survey" went home on Tuesday, Feb. 7. Please fill it out and return one for each of your children. It provides feedback for our school and allows us to make decisions on the needs and feelings of our dedicated parents. Your survey may remain annonymous, but please return it by Monday, Feb. 13. Students will receive an Out of Uniform Day on Friday, Feb. 17 if their personal green survey is turned in to their teacher (not one per family).
3rd Quarter Conferences will be held Tuesday, February 7 - Friday, February 10. Check the Documents page if you need another copy of the schedule. I am looking forward to meeting with you! Early Release is on Thursday the 9 at 11:30, and no lunch is served. Early Release is on Friday the 10 at 1:30, and lunch is served as usual.
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 20 due to Presidents' Day!

FIELD DAY 2012 is on March 8 for K-4 and on March 9 for grades 5-8! Our class' t-shirt color will be WHITE.
