Welcome to Mrs. Lockhart's Class!
I am excited to be teaching here at PEC. My darling little boy, Harrison,
begins his journey as a student as he enters kindergarten this year and my
husband, John, and I will be married 14 years on October 18. My how the
years fly by...
We have lived in Arizona since 2002, but before that, we enjoyed living in
Colorado where my husband was a youth pastor for 4 1/2 years. (He is now a
Chaplain in the Arizona Army National Guard.) While in Colorado, I taught
for three years at a small Christian school and enjoyed the opportunity of
teaching in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
My first year at PEC was in 2002 and I taught the 1st - 3rd Grade Gifted
Class. What a great experience and an awesome class of eager learners! The
next three years I taught 5th grade, which is where my heart is. I had the
privilege of starring in the role of "stay-at-home-mom" for 4 years (2006-
2010) and came back to PEC last year teaching 5th grade again.
I look forward to this year of getting to know the 84 precious lives that
will be walking through our classroom door each day of this school year.
