December 17, 2009:
Congratulations to all Band & Orchestra students! The concerts this week were great and you should all be proud of your performance! I look forward to future concerts.
By the way, the Event Calendar has been updated with all of the Spring Semester concerts and events. Please refer to it and mark your own personal calendars.
Remember over winter break, students are expected to practice at least 5 days. Any extra days practiced will be counted as extra credit. So, if you practice 14 days, you will receive 9 days worth of extra credit.
Final semester grades have been posted.
I wish everyone a wonderful and restful winter break. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2010!
December 14, 2009:
NOTICE: Due to the large misunderstanding about the concert attire, jeans will be allowed for this semester's concerts provided that they are black (not faded) and look nice. However, for future concerts, jeans or denim pants will not be allowed. I am sorry for the misunderstanding.
Hello all! I hope you're all excited for the concerts this week. The orchestras play on Tuesday and the bands play on Wednesday. Remember that call time is at 6pm in the Music Room. Please be 10-15 minutes early so you can be ready on time to tune and play. Also, if you haven't already, make sure that you have the proper concert attire as outlined on page 12 of the
Band & Orchestra Handbook. Last, remember that
you must stay for the entire concert to receive full points. It's rude to leave any performance early. The concerts are going to be a great success!
Like always, if you attend a performance that you are not playing in, you will receive extra credit upon handing in a program with your name on it to the basket.
Semester Grades will be posted by the end of the week.
December 7, 2009:
Grades have been posted. The concerts begin a week from tomorrow! Ensure you have your concert dress ready. Members of the Advanced band who are playing with the Beginning Band will need to have the white shirt for that part of the concert.
