How to use POGB: https://smhspogb.pvschools.net/ OR Go to Shadow Mountain Web Page PARENTS AND STUDENTS PLEASE UNDERSTAND: IF THERE ARE NO GRADES LISTED OR THERE ARE 0 POSSIBLE POINTS AVAILABLE, THEN WE EITHER FINISHED THAT UNIT IN A PREVIOUS QUARTER OR WE HAVE NOT FINISHED THE ENTIRE UNIT FOR ME TO INPUT UNIT GRADES. IF YOU SEE ASSIGNMENTS OR UNITS LISTED, THERE WILL BE NO GRADES BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT YET COVERED THAT UNIT OR I HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE UNIT TO GRADE, OR THOSE GRADES ARE NOT IN YET. IF YOU SEE A ? OR A % GRADE THAT TO MEANS NO UNIT, NO GRADE OR NO INSTRUCTION YET. GRADING: THIS YEAR I WOULD LIKE TO USE A STANDARD BASED GRADING PROCEDURE. I HAVE FOLLOWED THIS TYPE OF GRADING PROCEDURE BUT THIS YEAR I WANT TO BE SPECIFIC IN EXPLAINING THE PROCEDURE. STANDARD BASED GRADING IDENTIFIES A, B, C, D, F AS THEY RELATE TO MEETING MY EXPECTATIONS BASED ON THE LEVEL OF ABILITY/PROFICIENCY OF EACH INDIVIDUAL STUDENT. EXAMPLE: A-MET THE OBJECTIVE WITH PROFICIENCY, ACCURACY AND EXCELLENCE. THAT IS BASED ON THE LEARNING STYLE, EFFORT AND SKILLS OF THAT INDIVIDUAL STUDENT. AN A IS ACHIEVED BY MEETING THE OBJECTIVE (EXPECTATIONS SET), BUT NOT ALWAYS IN THE SAME MANNER. SIMPLY: ANY STUDENT CAN GET AN A IF THEY MEET THE EXPECTATIONS, BUT USING THEIR OWN LEVEL OF LEARNING AND SKILLS. TWO PEOPLE CAN CLIMB THE SAME MOUNTAIN USING DIFFERENT METHODS AND BOTH CAN REACH THE TOP!!!
