An honor to be your teacher

I have a BA in Sociology/Criminology from Western Washington University. I received my Masters in Secondary Education at the University of Phoenix. I was a Deputy Sheriff in Orange County California and have worked many years in social work and as an educator. I have been teaching for over 16 years in Texas and in Arizona at the high school level. I am dedicated to my profession and very excited to have the honor to teach and make a difference in the lives of young adults. My teaching style is very positive and prepares students for success in higher learning and life. Why the name Ms. Shari? It's my name! I lived in Texas and in the south it is customary to refer to adults, even teachers if they wished to be referred to by their first name, as long as Mr.or Ms. was said prior to the name. This is out of respect. I have come accustomed to being referred to as Ms. Shari for as long as I can remember. Even my friends call me Ms. Shari, Not Mrs. or Miss, it is Ms. Shari. I am proud of my maiden name of Anton, but forget to respond to it sometimes. So, y'all can call me Ms. Shari and if you know me, it surely fits!
