Sierra Oaks School opened its doors in 2002 at the historic medical building in Oracle. We began with the notion of creating a small school environment with a focus on strong academics, while enhancing community involvement and positive citizenship. We continue to provide a child centered environment in our daily quest to educate children.
Diversity and Choice
The students and staff embrace diversity at Sierra Oaks. We all come from different backgrounds academically, culturally, and socially. We believe we can teach and learn from each other. Parents and students choose to come to Sierra Oaks for a variety of reasons:
1. Our small class size (12 - 15) appeals to students who need more one on one instruction.
2. The family atmosphere allows parents to feel comfortable in discussing their child's
academics or social interactions.
3. The muti-aged campus allows for mentorship among older and younger students.
Students
The kindergarten through sixth graders at Sierra Oaks are encouraged about learning. They use their strengths to help others and work hard to improve their skills. Students take ownership in their school through such activities as gardening, landscaping, murals and the school newspaper.
