Dear Parents and Students,
   Thank you all for the nice ending to the school year. Alex, Zoila and I are so touched with the generosity and kind words. Thank you so much to all of the families that contributed to the group gift and all of the other gift cards, plants, vases, candies were so thoughtful.
   A few pieces of business:

• Summer homework goals are posted to this website. Links to Study Island and Accelerated Reading/Math are under links. Please get started early to reach those "Student-Set Goals". If you have a question, please email me.
  
• I still have need for animal care if anyone feels they can take the bunnies or birds.
  
• The Supply List for 2012-2013 is posted below. Hopefully this will help with keeping the cost down (bargain shopping). As things were added, I tried to take things off to keep the cost down.
  

I hope everyone has a delightful and relaxing summer. I will be teaching Pre-Primary art for the month of June and traveling a bit in July. Please contact me as needed via email. Thanks again for all of the support.

2012 Elementary II Supply List

Here is a supply list to get us started. These supplies will need to be replenished in January. Supplies will be community style; therefore, please do NOT label materials (except notebooks) with your name.

 

48 sharpened Ticonderoga pencils

1 box markers

1 box Prisma Color pencils (@ least 10)

1 cloth placemat for snack and lunch (daily)

1 non-disposable water bottle (daily)

1 glue stick package

1 box black fine or standard tip Sharpie Markers

1 pack of white Model Magic

1 protractor (clear)

1 box of binder rings

1 pack of scotch tape (3+ rolls)

1 ruler with inches and centimeters

1 pack or pad tracing paper

1 sketch pad (no newsprint please)

1 clipboard

1 package of lined notecards

1 decorative journal/ notebook

1 red single subject notebook

1 green single subject notebook

1 blue single subject notebook

1 5-subject spiral notebook

2 marble composition notebooks

1 graph paper notebook: preferably brown sewn computation notebook

2 (2”+ inches) three-ring homework Binder/ classroom binder (could be soft/ zipper style for easy transport in backpack)

1 (1”) binder for writing

1 pair of scissors

2 small pencil sharpeners (non-electric)

2 packages of wide-ruled notebook paper

2 packages dry erase markers

1 eraser (for dry erase board)

1 pencil eraser or pencil top eraser pack

1 box of heavy-duty sheet protectors

4^th grade and 5^th grade: 1 ream white copy paper

6^th grade: 1 ream colored copy paper (any color)

1 ream white cardstock

Colored self-adhesive tabs (that students can write on)

1 tissue box

3 pack of surface-cleaning wipes

 

1 Gift Card to Michael's or Home Depot for your child’s art/outdoor environment work (any denomination)

1 $25 Petsmart Card for Classroom Pet Supplies (Our pets cost approx. $75 per month)
