* Your child should have brought home a South America packet before Fall
Break. The packet gives all of the instructions for the South America
presentations and projects. If you have any questions at all, please feel
free to contact me.
* The South America presentations will begin November 30 and we will have 3
each day until we are finished. The 3rd graders will begin and then 2nd
grade and finally, 1st graders.
* We will be continuing our study of the fish this month. If anyone would
be interested in coming in and discecting a fish with the class, let me
know!! I do not know if I have the stomach for it :)
* We will begin our study of the earth and what it is made of and how it
came to be. We teach the scientific point of view, the Big Bang, but we also
discuss all the different ways that life was thought to begin.
* We are also studying the Biomes of South America. The children will be
learning about the culture, food, clothing, shelter, and all the other
essential things needed to survive.
* Classroom t-shirts have been ordered and should be ready before the end of
the month! The kids will get to wear them for field trips and whenever else
they would like to!!!
* We are going to have a Thanksgiving Feast this year!! There will be a
sign up on the website for you to bring a dish. We will need someone to cook
a turkey so if you are interested... We will be having the feast on the
Monday before thanksgiving, Nov. 23. We would love to see you all here!!
