* I cannot believe it is already March!!! The kids are moving along at a
great speed and we are about to start the study of Reptiles and Birds! The
kids will learn all of the external as well as the internal parts of these
two types of animals.
* Africa packets will be coming home right before Spring Break. The kids
can take the break to decide what they would like to study and then we will
choose topics the Monday we return from the break (Mar. 15). First graders
study animals, Second graders will study landmarks, geographical features,
people, or cities. Third graders will pick a country the would like to
become an expert on. Let me know if you have any questions.
* Liberty Wildlife will be visiting our classroom this month (Mar. 31) and
we will be doing a donation drive to help their facilities. I will be
sending out a list of items that they can use and we will collect as many as
we can. Your help will be greatly appreciated!!
* I will begin reviewing with the third graders this month for the AIMS
testing that will take place in April. We will be reviewing vocabulary and
diffferent terms they may see on the test. Practice tests will come home as
soon as I receive them!! Please do not worry about these tests, your
children are going to do fine :)
* Miss Laura will begin visiting our classroom once a week or more this
month and she will do this until the end of the year! She is going to be
doing a lot of observation, lessons, and getting to know your children. We
are all looking forward to her visits :)
