About The Teacher

I graduated from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio, in 1998 with a 
degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I began teaching in a 
Montessori preschool in Westlake, Ohio and was with that same school for 5 
years.  I then moved to Phoenix in May of 2003 and started teaching at 
Villa.  I was a teacher's assistant for 2 years, and during that time I 
began going to school to obtain my montessori certificate.  This is my 
fifth year as a lead teacher and I am looking forward to a great year! I 
graduated at the end of April with my Master's Degree in Montessori Education 
and I do believe that that will be the end of college for me!!!!

Two year ago, I was married on the beautiful island of Maui and am enjoying 
the married life.  My husbands name is Jason and we have two cats.  We had 
our first child in early March and are truly enjoying being parents.  Our 
son's name is Palmer and he is lucky to be able to spend time with his 
Grandpa everyday while mom and dad are working!

In my spare time I like to read, hike, and go on bike rides.

Mission For The Class

My mission for this class is to understand and explore each child's full 
potential using the Montessori philosophy and materials.  I hope to build a 
community within the classroom by incorporating peace and harmony.
