Hi! Having been a parent at Villa for 14 years, I have seen what this
school has provided in the way of educating students to be independent
thinkers and well educated contributers to our world. It has been my
privilege to join Villa 9 years ago as a Montessori teacher of 6 - 9 year
olds (1st - 3rd graders).
Being a daughter of a military officer, I was finally glad to plant myself
in one location for more than 2 years by graduating from UCLA with a
Bachelors Degree in Geography and a minor in Business Administration. I then
moved to Arizona where I worked for 10 years in a computer software firm as a
Technical Writer of computer accounting software.
Realizing that wasn't my ultimate life goal, I pursued my Masters in
Elementary Education at ASU and upon graduating, came to Villa. I then
attended CMTE-NY's Montessori Training in Phoenix while applying all my
education first hand in the classroom. It has been an exciting journey that I
have enjoyed and look forward to continuing for many years to come.
Providing a challenging education based on the Montessori Philosophy and on
the needs of the child. Helping the children work to their ability,
completing quality work and being open to learning new things. Supporting
the family in completing homework and school projects in a timely manner.
