Hi! I am Mrs. McCoy and I am very excited to be teaching first grade at
Wilson this year. We moved here from Phoenix five years ago, and this will be
my 10th year teaching.
I am originally from Kansas, and came to Tucson to attend the U of A, where I
received my undergraduate degree. I moved to Phoenix after graduation, and
received my teaching certification from Ottawa University in Phoenix. I also
have a Masters in Special Education from NAU and an early childhood endorsement.
My husband is a Division Chief with Northwest Fire District, and we have 3
boys, named Connor, Carson, and Cooper and one daughter, Alina. Connor is a junior at Ironwood
Ridge. Carson, Cooper, and Alina are currently in the 8th grade, 6th grade, and Kindergarten here at
Wilson.
When I am not at school teaching, I am usually spending time with my family,
scrapbooking, reading, or running!
