Library Hours
Before School - 7 - 7:45
During School - 7:45 - 2:15 (you must show your pass in your planner and sign-in at the circulation desk)
After School - 2:15 - 3:30
1/2 Days - the library closes at 11:00 AM (the "Calendar" menu item to the left shows 1/2 days)
Mission Statement
The mission of the SDOHS Library/Media staff is to work collaboratively with teachers and students to support academics, to promote reading for pleasure and information, and to prepare our community of learners with the life-long skills necessary to be competent, critical, ethical, and independent seekers and users of information.
Power Standards
Standard 1 - Evaluate information for its: accuracy, validity, appropriateness for needs, importance, and social & cultural context.
Standard 2 - Use all six steps of the BIG 6 research process to complete a research paper.
Standard 3 - Adapt research strategies to achieve success.
Standard 4 - Demonstrate the ability to use a variety of resources and to seek additional resources when clear conclusions cannot be drawn.
