CAFE stands for C-Comprehension, A-Accuracy, F-Fluency and E-Expanding
Vocabulary. Working in these 4 areas help us to become better readers. The
Parent Pipeline sheets guide you on how to help your child use different
reading strategies at home so they can gain more reading independence.
Strategies we have done so far:
Check for Understanding aids in Comprehension
Cross Check Double Check aids in Accuracy
Tune Into Interesting Words aids in Expanding Vocabulary
Back Up and Reread aids in Comprehension
Please keep the strategy forms at home to use when you are reading with your
child.
Thanks for your continued support at home with our reading program!
