Announcements

5th Grade Supply List for 2009-2010 school year. Welcome to
Ms. Mitchell's class! Please send these items to school with
your student no later than Monday, August 24th. This list is
also available on my website, which you can access from the
ABES webpage. See you on Thursday!

*Binder, 2" - 3";  3 rings; simple without pockets or zippers;

*Notebook dividers (pkg of 5)
 
*Pencil pouch to fit in binder (optional)NO PENCIL BOXES 
PLEASE, UNLESS THEY ARE KEPT IN BACKPACKS.
   
*Notebook paper, standard or wide rule. Keep stocked, PLEASE!  

*5 spiral notebooks - 8 1/2" x 11"; inexpensive ones; about 70
pages with 3 holes. 
  
*#2 pencils, 2-6 (mechanical pencils okay, but not recommended;
need some standard pencils, as well)

*Eraser (large)

*Hole reinforcements (a box)
    
*Colored pencils (small set)

*Colored markers  (small set)

*Composition Book - Black and White cover or decorative cover.
      
*Highlighters, 2-3 
      
*Black sharpie(permanent marker),1-2

*1 package of 3" x 5" index cards, lined, to turn in for 
class use.
 
*Scissors, 5"-7" preferred

*Glue sticks (2-3) 
     
*Ruler(with centimeter and inches)
   
*3 Dry erase markers (fine point, oderless preferred)
BLACK ONLY
  
*Sock or small eraser, for whiteboards (optional)

*Pens, 1 black, 2 red

*Calculator, Texas Instruments beginning scientific model
recommended, around $20;

*Protractor

*Compass

* Waterless soap - pump or refill (girls)

*1 box of Kleenex (all)

*1 container of disinfectant wipes (boys)

*$10 CASH to cover the cost of "Time for Kids" weekly news 
publication, and student organizer (students will receive
at school)
 
*Post-it notes (several; 2" by 2" size)
 
*bottle of water (optional, but recommended)

make sure he/she always comes prepared for school!
