Dear Friends,
Thank you SO much for all of the wonderful
gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week.
I loved the coffee and muffins, the lunches were delicious, the flowers
beautiful, we REALLY needed the graph paper and the gift card to Nordstrom’s is
great! You are all so kind and generous;
thank you, thank you, and thank you!
We are STAR testing this week and Monday of
next week. The students must be at
school and in the classroom at 8:30.
This morning one student was 10 minutes late! Their tardy not only prevents our class from starting on
time but also is disruptive to us.
PLEASE make sure you get your child to school on time. Of course, it is also important that
they get good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast. These scores travel with your child from school to school. It is important that they do their
best. Thank you.
Our test schedule is as follows:
Monday 5/7 = Language Arts, part 1
Tuesday 5/8 = Language Arts, part 2
Wednesday, 5/9 = Science, part 1
Thursday 5/10 = Science, part 2
Friday 5/11 = Math, part 1
Monday 5/14 = Math, part 2
All testing begins at 8:30 each morning.
PARENT PREVIEW OF THE FAMILY LIFE VIDEO IS
SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, MAY 22, @ 3:15 IN ROOM 602. A permission slip allowing your child to participate in this
program will be sent home soon. If
you are interested in seeing the video before your child, please attend this
viewing.
The students took the 6th Grade
Math Placement Test last Wednesday. The tests are at the District Office being
scored. I will be sending home
placement letter the start of June.
We are nearing the end of this school
year. Soon I will be sending home
information about our Little Hills Picnic. All parents are invited, even if you are not driving. The more the merrier.
