About The Teacher
I grew up in San Ramon with my three older brothers, mom, and dad. All throughout school I played musical instruments, including piano, flute, and oboe. I received my degree and Multiple Subject Credential from California State University at Hayward. This is my 12th year teaching at Bollinger Canyon School.

Mission
In striving to ensure the success of students, staff members and parents must work together to support the appropriate behavior necessary at school. In enforcing the rules of the school, district, and State of California, students must understand that their actions do have consequences. My goal is to create a safe and caring community where all members grow and learn, nurtured by a sense of teamwork, respect, and trust. My philosophy towards discipline and citizenship are as follows: * Children are to be respected for their unique human dignity and worth. * School rules and procedures are put in place for safety, security, and a sense of order, not for tight control. * My class climate fosters student self-responsibility for ongoing positive behavior even when adults may not be present. I provide training / activities that enables children to make appropriate choices.
