I graduated from Woodbridge High School, go Warriors! I first attended
Cosmetology School to meet that creative spirit in me. And though I loved
doing hair, it didn't meet that lifelong learning component as well as
helping kids with their learning through creative means.
I decided to get
back to college and began at Irvine Valley College. I recieved my A.A Degree
there emphasizing in Psychology and Dance. I then continued on to Cal State
University Fullerton.
While majoring in Psychology and minoring in dance, I
began to audition in Hollywood for singing, dancing and acting, just an all
over the place kind of girl! I did sign a recording contract for 2 years and
wrote many songs. But as most trying for Hollywood, it didn't go any farther
than that. And though I love to sing and dance, I still love kids just the
same.
After recieving my BA Degree, I decided teaching Special Education was
my calling. I was working in the Irvine Unified School District aiding in a
kindergarten through third grade classroom with a variety of disabilities. I
fell in love so I alsofinished my Special Education through CSUF. I am close
to recieving my Master's Degree as soon as I figure out what I will do for my
Thesis!
Last year I decided to chase my passion and write and record a kids and
family Hip-Pop cd. It is titled "So Emotional". It has 5 new and original
songs. It was an amazing experience!
I have a fantastic family at home, at Brywood and with the Irvine
District. I live in Tustin with my daughter Shanice. My daughter is
phenomenal. She is now 15 and is a Sophmore at Beckman High
School. Shanice is my actress, drama queen and animal trainer!
We also have 2 cats, Belle and Loverboy. Belle loves to play hide and
seek and she also likes to get into the trashcan to find coffee grinds.
Loverboy just loves to observe and cuddle. He does love to sit in things, the
smaller the better and he loves to play with milk tops. I am very lucky to
live near my mom, Carol, and my grandmother, Mary.

The students of room 2 have a rich mix of diversities, which should be
recognized, appreciated and celebrated. It is my goal to provide each student
with an educational experience that allows them to learn at their individual
pace, grow and accomplish individualized goals while providing them with
their grade level curriculum through many creative and enriching projects. I
will incorporate all types of learning styles; use many hands on activities
through a variety of different methods such as music, movement and poetry. As
a team, we will provide your child with experiences that promote an
enthusiasm for learning, self-esteem, independence, honesty, accountability,
and responsibility.
