Genre Project Biography For our last Genre Project, all students will choose a biography to read. The reading can be done in class, but most of it will need to be done at home. Students need to select a book by the end of this week (05/11/12). The book needs to be read and returned to school by Tuesday, May 29th. The writing will be completed in class and we will have a culminating activity on Thursday, June 14th. Our focus on this project will be informative writing, paragraphing, and oral presentation. I have listed the research questions below. The student is responsible for researching and answering these questions. They may further research using other books or the internet. Please contact me with any questions or concerns! Thanks! Mrs. Greminger elizabeth.greminger@cape.k12.ca.us 384-1415 Research questions to keep in mind while reading: Name? Birth date? Birthplace? What are some interesting childhood facts about this person? What are some of the important events that occurred in his/her life? (things that made or helped them become famous) How has this person affected/changed our lives today? Date/cause of death? If alive, where are they today?
