What: Parent Appreciation Breakfast
When: 8:30-10:30am on Friday May 25th
Where: CAPE Community Room
Why: The faculty and staff of CAPE would like to thank all the parent volunteers who make CAPE so special. It takes the support and collaboration of our CAPE parent population to make CAPE such a great educational community.
For the field trip on Wednesday, we need one more driver. Right now we have spaces for 25 students. If we can't get one more driver, we will not be able to go on the fieldtrip.

New date for Math Unit 11 test is Tuesday, May 22.
Science test for investigation #2 is Monday, May 21
The practice test is not printing out for people so I have hard copies at school. Your child may pick one up in the folder by the homework.
In science we are studying saturated solutions and are hoping to make a supersaturated solution at school. In order to do this we need several items. The biggest challenge is finding 3 to 4 electric stoves so we can boil the solution. For each stove, we will need a parent to supervise. For my class, I would like to do this on Wed. morning, if possible. I haven't set a day for Mrs. Jacobs class yet. If you are a parent of a student in her class and can be here to help, let me know what day and time you could help.
Supplies needed:
electric stoves
sugar
wooden spoons
candy thermometers,
small clean jars - baby food jars would be ideal so each student can have his/her own
waxed paper

We will need to leave by 8:30 to assure arrival by 10:30. The Science Center admission is free, however, there is a $10.00 cash fee per car.
