I am a long time Camarillo resident. I attended Dos Caminos, Los Altos and
Camarillo High School. This is my 16th year of teaching, wow time flies.
I love teaching and all the subject areas. I can't pick a favorite one. I
love to be active and that is one of the reasons I love teaching. Kids are
quite active too and keep me on my toes.
Speaking of active, I have a six year old year, Dustin. We spent most of
the summer at the beach, the Santa Barbara Zoo and trying out all the local
parks. I am married and have known my wonderful husband, Mike Hurt for 20+
years.
Most of my family lives in Denmark where I hope to visit when Dustin gets a
little older. My father was an immigrant, and so were my mother's parents.
Sadly, I do not speak Danish. Luckily most of my relatives speak English.
I am sure as the year progresses we will all learn a lot more about one
another. I look forward to getting to know my students and their families.
