I began teaching in 1976 and have my life credential. I have
completed graduate school to obtain my Masters in Teaching with a
Reading Specialization. I have mostly taught the younger grades ~
Kindergarten, First and Second grade. I am currently teaching the
TEDDE class which is designed for children who are kindergarten age
but not quite ready yet. TEDDE is considered the first year of a two year
kindergarten.
I attended El Segundo Schools as a child and now I have been
teaching in our very sweet, special town for quite a few years. I live in
El Segundo with my husband, Wayne, and my 21 year old son, Tyler.
First and foremost, I feel that all children must feel safe, secure,
and unconditionally loved to prosper in a classroom. I like to run my class
like a family. We love and respect each other and we are all
responsible for our own and our friends' growth. Parents are always
welcome and many assist us in helping our academic, social, and
physical growth.
Our children will leave the classroom very prepared to have a
successful Kindergarten year. TEDDE class is a special springboard
for these students to have a great start at their academic career, which
will lead them on to a happy, successful adult life.
