  1. What shall I do if my child is absent?
  2. If I notify you that we are going out of town, may I have the work for the days my child will be out?

What shall I do if my child is absent?

The best way to receive the work if your child is absent is to notify
our office staff that you would like to pick it up at the end of the day.
I will then place all necessary work and books for your child in the office
by 3 P. M.

Another way to handle it is to send in a note with another child
our class who will take the work home for your child.

If I notify you that we are going out of town, may I have the work for the days my child will be out?

If your child will be absent 5 days or more, you must request an independent study
form from our office. Please do this well ahead of the absence.
Then I will prepare the work and go over it with you and your child before you leave.

If the absence is less than 5 days, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to provide
work for you. If the absence is only going to be for one day, your child will make up the
work upon his/her return. If your child will be out 2 - 4 days, I will provide what I can.

Please remember that papers and books cannot replace being in class for direct instruction!
