The blog is a great way for the students to practice writing skills. All
comments MUST be proofread by a parent. The students also love to have their
parents or other friends and relative comment!

book is to be taken home for 20 minutes of independent silent reading at home.
3 books = A, 2 books = B, 1 book = C.
This month a Stand-Up Book Report summary will be required for each of your
first three books. We will focus on explaining the problem and the solution in
the story and on staying in the present tense.
Please make sure your child has a Reading Counts book at all times.
Remember that the schoolhouse icon on the homepage will take you to the
Chaparral School website. I have a page on this website as well, with some
additional information and documents that can be downloaded. In addition, you
can access the Reading Counts list from the school website. You can find it by
going to Learning Links and clicking on Chaparral Library.
