Kindergarten Times
November 9
THIS WEEK –Ll week – It will be a little week (Veterans’ Day on Wednesday)
with Lovely Lady, ladybugs, and the Law of God! Lovely Lady is a sock puppet
with a grating singing voice and a big ego!! She sings the “la la” song that
we’re sure you’ll hear at home (we apologize ahead of time).
Please, please, please put names on all lunches, JACKETS, and anything else
you don’t want to lose!! If we can’t find the owner, the item will be placed
in the lost and found.
Parent/teacher conferences This time is for parents only. We will meet in
the Room 111(next to SAC) for about 15 minutes. Please be on time and we will
do our best to stay on schedule. A sample report card is attached [you get
the real one at the conference]. Please review the sample so if you have any
questions about the report card, they can be addressed at conference time. If
you have any other questions or concerns please send a note ahead of time so
we can discuss them at the conference, too.
**Thanksgiving Feast Jennifer Hall, our wonderful room mom, might be
contacting you for food, paper goods, …. It will be a little different this
year as it is only a half day, BUT we will do our best to make it memorable
and all about the true meaning of Thanksgiving (giving thanks to God for all
His wonderful gifts – like your kids!!).
Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes: an idea!! Your child might want to make
a box with a friend – together they can decide what goes inside and then help
wrap the box (don’t forget the top is wrapped separately). This can begin
the fine art of negotiation and cooperation- skills needed all through life.
What a blessing your children can be to other children who have nothing.
Thank you so much for all you do for others.
You are a gift from God to us.
THANK YOU to Chris Salas’ mom, Jenny Cantu’s mom, Katrina Robles’ mom, and
Maya Wynter’s grandmother for helping with our Art To Grow On project last
Thursday.
COUNTRY FAIR – if you have pictures, please email them to
kindergarten@clschool.org so we can put them on Snapfish and share.
