Message from the Principal

I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Kathleen Jaquin and it is my honor and privilege to serve as the new principal at Circle View School. I am eager to meet each and every one of you.

Circle View School has a long tradition of educational excellence and parent support. As the principal, my goal is to work with the students, parents, and staff to ensure that the Circle View experience will cultivate a love of learning while at the same time setting high expectations and creating a caring community for all students.

The Newsletter is Going Green

Due to budget & environmental concerns, starting in January, the Circle View School newsletter will be available online and via email only. We will have a very limited number of hard copies available in the office for those families without computer access. You will be able to access the newsletter by visiting the PTO website or Circle View website. If you are currently receiving PTO emails you will receive a newsletter by email. If you are not receiving PTO emails but would like to receive the newsletter by email please be sure to drop a note in the office addressed to the PTO with your name, your child’s name and your email address.

Awards

Circle View was just named a 2009 California Business for Education Excellence Honor Roll School. Circle View received this honor for it's outstanding success in student academic achievement. This award is a testament to the hard work of all our teachers, staff, and parents.

In addition, Circle View is very proud of the other awards that we have received. We proudly display our 2004 National Blue Ribbon Award plaque at the front of our school along with our California Distinguished School Award (1989, 1998, 2002, 2006) plaque. In addition, Circle View received the Business Roundtable Award in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

School Site Council Thank you to all the parents who were interested in participating in School Site Council. The members of the 2009-2010 School Site Council are: Ara Zareczny Staniskis Denny McDonald Ann Marie Hofman Greg Clobes Rosalind Price Our meetings will be January 11, March 15, and May 10 at 3:00 pm in the library.

Classified Employee of the Year Congratulations to Robert Sanden, our wonderful Head Custodian. He has been honored as the Ocean View School District Classified Employee of the Year!
