Can I make up tests?

Tests may only be made up if you are absent. You must take the test within a few days of your
return to school. Students are expected to study for tests and cannot create more work for the
teacher by trying to retake failed tests.

Can I make up missed work?

If you were absent when an assignment was due, turn it in on your first day back. If you were not
absent, you may only turn in late work by doing it in Ms. Moore's classroom after school. Just do
your work on time, and you don't have to be stressed about your grades!

Does everything count?

Doesn't life count? Everything we do counts for something, so make your life add up to something
great!

How long have you been at Clairemont?

Forever - ask Fred Flinstone; (parents - you know who he is - your kids might not).

How many times have you been to Europe?

Twenty! They can't keep me out. My latest personal trips have been to Scotland this past summer,
Italy on vacation in 2006, and Russia with my Yale European Studies group in 2006. The last trip
with Globetrotters was spring of 2007 and we go again this spring 2009. I have also been in study
programs in Europe. In 1995 I worked on a study project on Renaissance villa gardens in Italy. In
1998 I studied the English Industrial Revolution in Nottingham, and in 2002 I lived for a month in
Paris and went to a French language school.

The Vespa Questions

Is this a moped? No - mopeds have pedals. It is a scooter. How fast does it go? 65 mph, but I don't
go that fast. Can you take it on the freeway? Yes, but I don't. I prefer to live. Do you have to have a
special license? Yes, a motorcycle license, and yes I do, and I took a class for it. Is it expensive?
Well, it's not cheap- It's Italian. What else can I say? Aren't you scared when you ride it? Yes, fear
can keep you safe! You must be aware that any car can miss seeing you, so you must see them.

Why are there letters from Yale University on your wall?

Although my undergraduate and masters degree work was at SDSU, I have studied several other
places, including Russia, Italy, England, and France! I am in a European studies program at Yale and
have studied there four summers. Go Aztecs
and Bulldogs!

How do I check on my grade/my child's grade?

Go to the links page for a direct link, or to www.eClassInfo.com. Each student has an ID and
password. Grades are updated at the end of a unit after the test has been corrected, so about every
1 1/2 to two weeks.
