Adjunct Professor College of Marin 17 years. Graduate of Sonoma State with a
Bachelor of Arts in
Accounting, and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. Practiced
accounting for a local
CPA firm and various nonprofits. Spent 10 years with the County of Marin as
an audit manager.
This course teaches generally accepted accounting principles including
elements of financial statements, operating guidelines (assumptions,
accounting principles and constraints) internal control, and accounting
cycles for merchandising and service enterprises. This course is designed
to be the first course in accounting for transfer business students,
vocational bookkeeping students, as well as bookkeepers, small business
owners, managers, and those interested in knowing how to read financial
statements.
