Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope you and your family had a great vacation. Time to get back
to work!
This week we will begin spelling tests on Fridays. Don't panic, this is a process. We will send words
home on Mondays and work on them in class in daily.
A huge thank you to all who helped with the Holiday Party. The children had a great time.
We have finished the entire alphabet. Your child should know how to write them and should know the
sound they make. We will be learning about blending and doing lots more writing!
Last Names-The children will begin writing their names starting this month. Practice with them at
home.
Book orders-I have sent home the January book order forms. Kindly return any book orders by Friday,
January 23.
Please read the homework letter carefully regarding spelling words. If you have any questions don't
hesitate to ask.
