Welcome to Condit!

Welcome to our school!    Condit School provides an environment and opportunity for all students to achieve their full potential while becoming responsible citizens and independent thinkers. Through our comprehensive instructional program and a nurturing, secure environment, students are empowered to become life long learners. We are continuing to celebrate the successes of our students through Awards Assemblies and Good Behavior Assemblies. Thank you to all of our students, parents, families and staff that continue to make Condit the best! We are having an AWESOME year!

Condit ROCKS!

It is hard to believe a new school year is upon us. There continues to be an AMAZING energy at Condit as we continue to soar to success. I know that everyone is excited about our AWESOME computer lab. Thank you to all of our families that have donated to make the purchase of 26 new MAC computers possible. We also want to thank the Claremont Educational Foundation (CEF) for their generous donation of money for software and equipment for the lab. It is so great that our parents and families continue to support Condit in every way throughout the school year! We truly appreciate each and every one of you! Our staff is looking forward to another AMAZING school year and I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Condit community. I continue to be proud of each and every one of our students and all of their accomplishments. As a staff, we continue to make sure that we look at each student as an individual, and guide them through to their success. Condit is truly a unique and special place.

The school wide focus will continue to be student engagement, emphasizing the use of KAGAN strategies. In the 2011-2012 school year, we will continue to have the 100 Mile Club, while our staff continues with their Professional Learning Communities (PLC). In a PLC, teachers focus collaboratively in grade level teams on student learning, not just teaching. The teachers will work collaboratively to discuss current data and implement strategies that focus on what students are learning and also what to do when they are not. This year our Leadership Team will attend Professional Learning Community training in November. Condit has always strived for the success of lifelong learners soaring above the rest. The continued implementation of PLC’s help us to continue in that direction, and also give us a chance to celebrate successes throughout the school year.

Please check your weekly newsletter for information on upcoming events, awards assemblies, and other special information. The weekly newsletter will be posted on the website and can also be e-mailed to your home. I look forward to getting to know each of every one of our students and their families. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at 909-398-0300 or through my e-mail cmalally@cusd.claremont.edu.

Thank you for your support!
