May I send treats in for my child's birthday?

Yes.  Please send napkins too!  Treats need to be easy to pass 
out--no utensils or cutting involved.  Please send them with your 
child in the morning.  We'll have them before recess.

My child will be out of school for a day or several days. Is there a way to request school work for those days?

Yes.  Please call the office and they'll have you sign the proper 
forms so your child can receive credit for those days.

Can students have a water bottle in class?

I prefer they don't right now.  Students are unable to resist 
playing and making noises with them.  We have a drinking fountain 
in class and outside for recess.

Will 3rd graders be required to do a science fair experiment this year?

No, but they may do one if they want to.

Will there be field trips this year?

Yes.  We have one scheduled for April to the Lompoc Museum and 
Artesia Schoolhouse. This trip fits into our Lompoc history unit 
and end of the year one-room schoolhouse simulation.  There may 
be a walking field trip as well.
