Homework consists of the following:
1. Spelling- On Mondays a list of words will be sent home. Students are to
write five sentences using 2-3 words from the list.Students and parents are
to complete the editing sheet for these sentences. Also, students are to
choose one spelling activity listed on the inside of the homework folder. A
spelling test will be given on Fridays. Do a practice test on Thursday.
2. Language Arts- A comprehension worksheet and a grammer worksheet will be
sent in the homework folder with seperate instructions.
3. Math- one or two worksheets of math relating to what has recently been
taught in class will be sent along with the students unfinished timed math
facts tests from the previous week. The students are to finish all
incomplete problems and correct wrong problems on these tests as well as
completing the math worksheet.
4. Students are to read a minimum of 20 minutes per day Monday through
Thursday. Parents are to initial the date on the calendar verifying each
day they read for twenty minutes or more. Reading calendars are to be kept
in the students homework folder and turned in with other homework every
Friday.
ALL HOMEWORK IS DUE EACH FRIDAY. DO NOT RETURN FOLDERS BEFORE FRIDAY SINCE
READING CALENDARS MUST INCLUDE READING THROUGH THURSDAY.
