Tests/Quizzes: Figurative Language quiz on Friday!
Writing: This week we will introduce the I-Search, a 2 month long project where students research a parent/guardian and the year that the adult was 12 or 13. Be on the lookout for an informative letter and timeline to be signed this Wednesday.
Vocabulary: Vocab Lesson 10 will be introduced on Tuesday. The quiz will be Friday of next week.
Reading Skills: We will be reviewing how to identify the main idea in text, and then applying that knowledge to a longer expository article.
Conventions: Proper comma usage rules will be practiced.
Independent Reading: Students should have an independent reading book that is appropriate to their reading level. PERIODS 1/2 and 3/4 - One Pagers are due on February 9th.
