As we move into Winter Break it is important to keep on top of classwork and
homework assignments. It is very easy to get behind at this point in the year,
and it can be especially hard to get back on track after 16 days away from
school. Don't forget about the Homework Center!
This week we have 2 quizzes: Parts of Speech- Tuesday, Vocab Unit 6 Thurs.
Theme was introduced last week, and will become a part of how students are
assessed on their knowledge of the books they read independently, as well as
material covered in class.
There is now extra credit available on this website. Click the link in the
menu to access it.
Over break students must read at least 100 pages. A reading log will be given
out on Friday to record this information. A parent signature is required for
full credit.
No Excuses Homework Center-- After school in my room (401) from 3:10-4:00 a No
Excuses Homework Center has been opened. Students are welcome to drop in as
needed, get help from a math tutor, use the computers for typing/research
(please bring a memory stick for saving), and study in a quiet environment.
The HWC is supervised by teachers. This means that, truly, students have NO
EXCUSES for not completing their work.
