Hello!
With the cold and flu season upon us it is one of my top priorities to keep
everyone as healthy as possible. Donations of tissues, hand sanitizer and
Clorox wipes (for desks, computers, etc) are greatly appreciated!
What's going on right now in 401:
Vocabulary: The new vocab unit has been introduced. The quiz will be next week.
Reading: We have finished The Misfits and the final writing assignment is due
Tuesday. We will introduce and being working on Characterization this week.
Mechanics: This week: Conjunctions, interjections and prepositions. Parts of
Speech have been introduced. Watch for p.o.s. homework that will help your
student practice identifying and using nouns, verbs,adjectives, adverbs,
prepositions,conjunctions, interjections and pronouns.
Reading: AR and Independent reading are underway. Every student
should come to class with a reading book every day! Periods 3/4 and 5/6 have
their new book report (check out the page link on the left to see a copy). It
is due November 24th.
