Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
- Do you accept late work?
- Do you give extra credit?
- How can I improve my grade?
Do you accept late work?
No. Grammar builds in sequential small steps, so we encourage your to do your homework to be
prepared for the next lesson. Essays are given in advance, so late essays are not accepted.
In social studies each lesson within a unit is based on the previous lesson. Work completed
late will not recieve full credit. That said, there is value to completing the work even though full
credit is not earned. Homework is stamped on the date it is due to receive full credit.
Homework that is incomplete or not done on the due date may be completed up until the time
notebooks are collected, usually at the end of a Chapter or unit. After that time, no previous
work is accepted.
Do you give extra credit?
No. My expectation is that you do your best consistently on the regular school work and that you
not try to make up a poor grade at the end of a trimester. Occasionally, individual assignments may
have bonus questions or work for deeper thought or involvement in the topic.
How can I improve my grade?
a. Turn in all assignments thoroughly done and on time.
b. Watch for tests and STUDY for them. Review reading notes.
c. Have parents or siblings review your work or help you study for tests.
d. Go to M & M club before school for extra help.

or after school.
