Hello,

My name is Meredith Gies. I have been teaching second through fifth grade for twelve years. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work at Dailard for the past ten years. I graduated from San Diego State University and received my teaching credential and Master's Degree through Chapman University.

Here is a little information about my life. Both my father and my sister are teachers like myself. My dad recently retired. My sister had triplets two years ago. Now my dad helps with them. I was born in Japan, and lived many places including Spain. My dad was in the Air Force before teaching, which gave me the opportunity to travel early in life. I still enjoy traveling on my time off. I have traveled to Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica, Turkey, Australia, Peru, Ireland, and Africa . I also enjoy hiking with my dog, reading, painting skate boards, and drawing on my time off.

Recently I have taken computer and art classes for teachers. I am trying to improve my computer skills, which has motivated me to create this web site. I look forward to improving it as time goes on. Thanks for your patience while I attempt this new task.
