I am a product of this awesome Sylvan District. I was born here in
Modesto and attended Woodrow and Stockard Coffee elementary schools. after
sixth grade, my fellow students and I were temporarily housed at Somerset
until Ustach Middle School opened in 1993. I was in the first class to
graduate from Ustach after attending for a full academic year.
I attended Beyer high school. It was then that I decided to become a
science teacher.I dedicated myself to science and graduated with honors from
CSU,Stanislaus, receiving a degree in Biology/Chemistry.
In 2003, I joined the staff at Ustach, within the district where it all
started. I have been teaching at Dan Savage Middle School since 2006.I have
committed myself the
young people for whom I have been charged.
My current interests include the Master of Educational Technology
program at CSUS, growth characteristics of dictyostelids, and insectivorous
fungi.
I love my students, I love my job!
Thank you for taking the time to explore my website. It is my goal to
bring students and experiences together in ways that instill knowledge,
passion, and success.
Students will undergo a study of living things including plants,
animals, and the history of life on Earth. Human anatomy and physiology are
also explored. It is my vision that students grow a genuine enthusiasm for
science and a greater awareness and respect for living things.
It is my vision that students develop an interest in science.
