Mr. Kusumoto has been teaching in the Magnet School at Dodson since 1996.
He is the current science and health teacher for the 7th grade magnet
program.
Mr. K has been married for 21 years and has 4 daughters (Jill, Lindsay,
Jamie and Traci). Aside from raising 4 kids, Mr. K enjoys sports, riding
motorcycles, home remodeling projects, fishing and watching "Survivor".
Mr. K. attended several colleges (CSULA, CSULB, Pepperdine, and Mount St.
Mary's College). Its not that he got kicked out of them, its just that he
couldn't decide what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. But when he
finally decided to enter teaching, he started to do his homework and behave
in class. Mr. K encourages his students to become teachers too (at least
some of them). What other job allows you to work less than half a year ?
The overall mission for this life science class is really simple. To
develop an appreciation for life. All life, from the simplest to the most
complex. By gaining knowledge of our environment, we learn to respect life.
Most importantly, our own. Remember, life is a gift, with no guarantees.
