My child is having difficulty with class material. How can he/she get help?

Q and A session is from 7:30 to 7:50am daily. Each student is
also required to have a minimum of 2 study buddies. I will
answer questions related to the PREVIOUS day's lesson.
If your child is having difficulty because of poor performances
in previous years of school and lacks the necessary background
you can call the counselor and discuss an appropriate course of
action.

How can a student make up work missed due to absences?

Make-up work is available to students with EXCUSED absences.
Please review the information under the CLASS POLICY option from
the homepage. Here is a brief summary:
1. Have a study buddy that will automatically pick up your work
when you are not in school.
2. Call your study budy to find out and pick up any missed work.
3. Check the class website for the agenda (during first semester).
4. Call the school to contact the teachers to leave make-up work
in office (especially for multiple day absences). 24hours notice
is required.
5. Come to class at 7:20am to make up a test. This is a must.
Make-up tests are not given during class time.

Tests are always returned and corrected in class the next day.
Students who miss a test has to come to tutoring at 7:20am
promptly when he/she returns to school to make up the exam.

It is the student's responsibility to make up work promptly. I
will not discuss make-up work during class time.

NO MAKE-UP WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED ONCE GRADED WORK HAS BEEN RETURN
TO CLASS.

My family is leaving for vacation. How can my child make-up the work?

Each day a student is absent means a loss of revenue for the
school. The state does not provide funding for absent student.
Students are encouraged to attend school everyday.
In the event that make-up work is required, please provide me
with a written notice 2 days ahead. I can prepare a make-up
packet that includes a brief tentative outline of class and any
paper work that will be assigned.
However, make-up is not possible for discussion, video, lab work,
etc. This will affect the academic grade.
Daily agenda is posted on-line and the student can call the study
buddy to get updated information. The student is responsible for
learning the information covered in class during the absence.
