Mr. Taylor has been teaching at Dodson for twelve years. He has a Bachelor's
degree in English from Framingham State University in Massachusetts and a
Master's degree and teaching certification from San Diego State University.
Mr. Taylor enjoys hiking, bicycling, kayaking, camping, and traveling to
national parks. He also enjoys reading and writing and has published two
books, Birchwood, a novel, and Notes from the Element, a memoir describing
his travels and experiences.
The goal for eighth-grade English is to learn appropriate standards of
education and to develop skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking,
spelling, vocabulary, and grammar necessary for success in high school and
beyond. Students will also be required to participate in a nurturing
environment where they can grow and develop as individuals and citizens.
