Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to my 7^th grade math class!

This year students will explore numerous math topics that will challenge and motivate your child. To investigate math topics, such as, linear equations students will be required to apply skills from English, science and history. Students will prepare and present math problems to the class.

The use of technology is an integral part of the class. Students will have regular access to graphing calculators for class work. I strongly recommend that students have access to the internet for practice on study island and other math websites. I will video tape the class during class activities to evaluate my teaching practice, provide students with feedback on presentations and behavior, and share student activities with parents at Open House. Please review, sign, and return the computer use form and video release form.

It is in the best interest of the student that we have open communication between home and school. Students are expected to record daily assignments and related information in their planner. My grades are posted on http://jupitergrades.com on a daily basis. All students have been provided with a sign on.
