Week of 2/27/12
Monday: Report cards were sent home by the teacher and need to be signed and returned by Friday. Students are to complete Slave Dancer by Friday. Students are to finish I.N. pages 96-100 by Friday. Vocabulary #6 is due by Wednesday. Vocabulary Test #6 is Friday. Study Island is due by March 1st. Next week students will be tested on Chapter 14. Students will be starting a Hero vs. Villian poster on Andrew Jackson on Thursday. This will be done is class and is due Friday.

Monday: Homework: Study Island, Study Guide for Chapter 12, Slave Dancer comparison sheet, and study for test on Friday.

Friday: Chapter 12 Test Today.
Week of 1/17/12
Monday: No School
Tuesday: Students will be reading Slave Dancer by Paula Fox in class. Students will have a quiz on Chapter 9 on Thursday. Homework is to study for the Chapter 9 Test. Students will be writing an essay for Chapter 9. This will be due January 30th. Students are to complete Study Island. Students are to define the following words: advise, nomination, review, preside, and approve. The vocabulary is due Wednesday. Students will start essay Wednesday in class.
Wednesday: Pratice Test on Chapter 9.
Thursday:Quiz on Chapter 9.
Friday: Rough draft due for Essay. Students will pratice peer editing in class. Students will work on revising their essay.

Monday: Student are reviewing Chapter 9. They are working on Chapter 9 in the Interactive Notebook. Students who
check out Slave Dancer by Paula Fox or bring the book in will receive bonus points.

Thursday: Constitution Spell Out due Friday. Make sure you follow the instructions and write in complete sentences.

Monday: Review for District Assessment Test. Students return signed progress report.
Tuesday: District Assessment Test for extra credit. Bring #2 pencil to class.
Wednesday:All students in the library for multiculture presentation.

Monday: Students are to complete Declaraction of Independence Worksheet which is due Friday. Students are starting Chapter 8 in TCI. Cornell Notes for the Chapter will be assigned the first week after the Holiday.
Tuesday: Students are reveiwing the Articles of Confederation and creating a Spell/Out

Week of 10/17/11
Monday: Student will study for Chapter 5 Test on Friday. Students will turn in homework packet for credit. Students will review quiz on Friday and check homework and quiz for understanding. Students will complete Study Island. Students are reading My Brother Sam is Dead. If students check the book out of the library or purchase the book they will receive extra credit.

Week of 10/10/11
Monday: Student are to study Chapter 5 for test on Friday. Students will be able to use their Cornell Notes and Power Point Notes for the test. Study Island is due October 20th. Students need to return signed progress reports. Extra credit will be given to those students who get the book, My Brother Sam is Dead. Students read Chapter 1 of the book today in class. Students filled in a Say, Mean, and Matter graphic orgainizer.
Tuesday: Student will start Study Guide for Chapter 5 and finish it at home. It is due Friday after the test. Students may use the Study Guide on the test.
Wednesday: Students are to finish French and Indian War map. This is due Thursday.

Friday: Students may use their Cornell Notes, Study Guide, and Power Point notes for the test.

Monday: Student are to do Cornell Notes for Chapter 5 due Friday. Study Island pretest is due by Friday.
