Classroom Announcements:
Our 4th Grade Rancho Fiesta was a huge success! I’m so proud of all of our
square dancers; you all did a fabulous job!
Weekly Work Letters/Homework: The students are becoming more and more
independent, however, they still need reminders and check-ins from you. Please
be sure to check your child’s homework planner to ensure that s/he is
completing assignments and studying for upcoming tests. Please also use the
Weekly Work Letter as a discussion piece to his/her responsibility and
behaviors for that week. It is important that we work together to help in your
child’s success.
Valentine’s Day: We will be having a Valentine’s Day Sundae Party on the
14th. If your child would like to make Valentine cards for his/her classmates,
I will be sending home a class list in your child’s Thursday Folder on the 9th.
Holidays: Don’t forget we don’t have school on Monday February 13th and 20th
for Lincoln and Washington’s birthdays. Also, Friday, Feb. 10th is a minimum
day with dismissal at 1:30.
Eastshore Announcements:
JOG-A-THON: This annual event is our top fundraiser besides our pledge drive.
Please start thinking about family members and friends your child can
approach to help sponsor their efforts this year to raise money for our
school. As the state budget continues to be unstable, undependable and
unlikely to improve, we depend more and more on our PTA to help us maintain
the high quality programs we have here at Eastshore. Look for more
information coming soon – this year we have set our goals even higher and we
know with your support we can reach them!!
CANDY GRAMS: Mrs. Humboldt’s and Mrs. Flanagan’s classes will be selling
candy grams to raise money for Eastshore’s lunchtime games. Sales start
tomorrow and continue through Friday, February 10th. Candy Grams are $.25
each and can be purchased at lunch and after school. This is a perfect way to
celebrate Valentine’s Day and support Eastshore – students can purchase enough
candy grams for all of their classmates right here on campus! Candy Grams
will be delivered on Tuesday, February 14th. Thank you to both classes for
conducting this effort!
YEARBOOK: We have lots of fun events coming up this spring and we need your
help capturing those great moments for our Yearbook! If you take photos at
an event, please put a few of them on a disk, with the name and date of the
event. Place the disk in the box located in the MPR. Thank you!!
